These policies are here to make sure that everything is fair, straightforward, and stress-free for both us and my clients. Please read them carefully before you make a reservation. By hiring Kopy Cat, you agree to the terms below.
General
Every costume and piece of art is crafted just for you, based on your character and needs.
To make sure the work is good, we only work with a small number of clients at a time. First-come, first-served for slots.
We have the right to say no to any commission that we don't feel comfortable with.
We can talk to each other using email or direct messages. Please react quickly; if you don't, your project may be delayed or put on hold.
Payments
You need to pay a 30% deposit that you can't get back to hold your spot.
If you can't pay 30% right away, you can hold your spot with a small payment ($50–300) for a short time. The rest of the payment must be made within a set amount of time.
The rest of the sum can be paid down in flexible arrangements, including weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Before the suit or painting can be sent or delivered, the last payment must be made.
For your convenience, we accept PayPal, Stripe, Zelle, and CashApp.
Cancellations and Refunds
You can't get your deposits back. They cover the time, planning, and materials set aside for your project.
Once work has started, there can be no cancellations. We can convert the design into a generic prefab if you like, but we can't give you your money back.
If we can't finish your commission for personal reasons (which is very rare), we can discuss a fair return.
Work in Progress (WIPs)
At important points (sketch/line art → color/base construction → final), you will get updates.
You can give us your feedback; this is your chance to ask for changes or adjustments.
Once a stage has been approved, you can only make a few modifications later. If you want to make major adjustments, you might have to pay more.
Deadlines & Timeline
Projects are completed in queue order. Typical timeframes:
Ref sheets: 2 to 4 weeks
Partial suits: 3 to 6 months
Full suits: 6 to 12 months
Timelines are just estimated; we will never hurry because we have to maintain the quality.
It is possible to get rush orders for an extra cost (availability is not guaranteed).
Shipping & Delivery
Customers are responsible for all shipping fees.
You will get tracking information once your project is delivered.
Kopy Cat is not responsible for delays, damage, or lost items in the post. Shipping insurance can be added at your request.
International buyers have to pay customs and import costs.
Warranty and Repairs (for suits)
All fursuits come with a 90-day guarantee that only covers defects in manufacturing.
Accidents, normal wear & tear, or misuse are not covered.
You can still get repairs done after 90 days, but you'll have to pay extra for delivery.
Rights to Use
You can only use your final fursuit or art for yourself.
You can share, stream, and post with Kopy Cat's credit.
You need to have discussions about commercial uses (like using it for merchandise, resale rights, or as a company mascot) ahead of time, and it may cost more.
Responsibility of the Client
Before work starts, give explicit reference photos and information.
Stay communicative during the WIP stages to keep things moving.
Know that this is a handmade item; thus, there may be slight flaws.
